Immediately we got married, it seemed like life got busier. There is so much to do to put food on the table, pay rent, serve at church, and prepare for the coming of our first baby.

When the baby came, it got even more choked and it became easier to put everything first and expect that my wife would understand - after all, everything I am working for is for both of us.

My wife will call me while at work and I will just pick up the phone, and ask her if it is an emergency. if it is not, I will promise to call her back, then I will forget and never return her call. Somehow, I expected her to understand.

One reality about life is that we cannot do everything and be everywhere at the same time. That is why we must learn to prioritize the most important people and activities in our lives.

As we saw at our last "The Marriage Course" session, we will only survive as a couple if we learn to prioritize our marriage relationship over every other demand on our time.
