Hope you are enjoying your weekend

It has been a busy end of the year for my athletes, and my twins who recently graduated high school. Graduation and planning for next year has me reflecting on the process of their achievements over the last 18 years.

A prices with a lot of corrections and mistakes they grew from. More in the video below.

And if you have a hard time benefiting from your mistakes, let me help you with individual consulting and inside Success Stories Membership.

Happy summer,

Dr Eddie

Why More Mistakes are Better than Less

Obstacle:

You hate making mistakes. You compare yourself to others and fall short because they aren’t failing like you are. Then you get stuck, repeating the same errors. And the constant coaching about where you can improve just reinforces what you are doing wrong.

How to Overcome:

Adopt an attitude of “constant correction.” In the quest for excellence - or even chasing perfection - you should expect yourself to have to consistently make adjustments to improve. After every repetition find a way that would could do it better next time. Not because you are “wrong” and have to fix it. Do it because you are “hungry” to develop and strive for excellence.

The reality is everything we are currently doing can be done better. Literally everything, no matter how good it is, can be better. So strive for that with each attempt in the spirit of growth. If you do, mistakes kind of fade into the background because every attempt is an opportunity to improve. This is a great mindset to reinforce a sense of consistent progress.
