Happy Thursday
You ever want learning and growth to be easy? I haven't found that it ever is ... in fact the greater your pain, the greater your opportunity to grow. More in the video below.
Then I have a special article for you from FEED Magazine in the UK. I had a great conversation with them about applying sport and performance psychology to the challenges businesses are facing right now. Everything from getting your team on board with change to foundational health habits for excellence. Enjoy the read!
Best wishes,
Dr Eddie
Growing Pains
Obstacle:
There is pain in the process of growth and achievement. Real discomfort in the form of vulnerability, fear and doubt, physical pain, and risk of embarrassment when we try to establish new habits. And it is our desire to feel better in these moments that create inconsistency and failure.
How to Overcome:
Recognize that it is only when you feel that pain that your best progress will be made. It is in this difficulty that the most growth occurs. You are shedding the old and building the new. The pain you feel is change. These are growing pains. Feel them as evidence that you are in the process of achieving your goal.

"I used to think the definition of excellence was obvious: 'Beat everybody else'. Now I see what a horrible message that is, because what is excellence?"
