Hello,

I created Success Stories for high-achievers like you who might be stuck. Maybe fear and doubt are preventing you from being your best and traditional methods of positive self-talk and trying to find motivation haven't worked.

There is a better way to interact with your anxiety. Inside the membership, we develop the skills necessary to become confident and perform at a consistently high level.

In previous e-mails we've established that your anxiety has purpose, is safe and can be beneficial. Fighting with your anxiety can be a big distraction, so accepting it is key. In this way, you can move your focus from what you are feeling to what you are doing.

First, make a conscious decision to concentrate on the task at hand. This means actively choosing to focus on one thing instead of letting your mind wander.

Second, avoid multitasking and focus on one thing at a time. Multitasking can divide your attention and make it difficult to concentrate.

Third, ensure that your mind and body are in the same place at the same time. This means being fully present in the moment and not letting your mind wander to past mistakes or future outcomes.

Fourth, focus on what you can control. It is important to recognize that there are some things that are outside of your control (weather, score, refs), and worrying about them will only waste your time and energy. Instead, focus on the things that you can control and take action on them.

Fifth, focus outward when feeling nervous. Internal thoughts and feelings can be distracting, so it is important to focus on external cues such as the ball, opponent, or target.

Finally, focus on the process, not the outcome. This means focusing on the moment to moment step-by-step actions of your performance as you do them and not getting caught up in the end result.

Move from anxiety under pressure to confidence and clutch performances
