How did this NFL player answer my question for YOUR benefit?

Happy Friday
Fun week! I got to listen and talk with The Las Vegas Raiders tight-end, Darren Waller about his significant problems with people pleasing and how it led to several severe addictions that almost cost him his NFL career. Then after a life changing scare, he took a year to rehabilitate himself and is now one of the top tight-ends in the league. I asked him a special question for your benefit and his answer is below.
I ask for your opinion in a presentation I am doing, and if you have friends or family thinking about going into sport psychology - I have a suggestion below too.

NFL Players Have Anxiety Too ...
Thanks to Athletes Touch for this great meeting with Raiders Pro Bowl TE, Darren Waller, who shared his incredible journey from addiction and people pleasing to NFL success and personal happiness.
I got to ask him what message he had for you to let go of performance anxiety and people pleasing.
His response:
- “First, meditate ... ... second, bet on yourself. They don’t know what’s possible for you. They distract you from your task. Stop trying to fill an internal need with something external.”
If you want to overcome people pleasing so you can focus on and improve your performance (and enjoy your activity again), I’d love to assist you with individual consulting at https://dreddieoconnor.com/telehealth-services
Media, COVID, and You
Very excited to be presenting again to my friends and colleagues on a topic close to my heart and my mission: To help YOU through media (i.e., social media and Success Stories Membership).
Please reply to this e-mail and let me know which video helped you the most and why. I'll (confidentially) share the results at AASP.
