Training every day for bigger gains

Quick story:

Last year I decided to focus on growing my shoulders.

I trained them 6 days a week for almost 3 months and made good progress, going from 20-pound dumbbells to 45 on the shoulder press.

How did I manage to make progress by training almost every day?

- I started with low weights

- I almost never trained to failure

- I kept volume low per workout

My weekly volume was just 6-12 sets, which was 1-2 work sets per workout.

Training every day helped me practice the technique consistently, which is beneficial for both beginners and advanced lifters returning from a break -- as I was saying in a recent email.

My weights went up quickly, and I ended up with bigger, rounder shoulders.

So, if you're getting back into training after a break, consider training more frequently, spreading out your volume throughout the week.

Or if you want to focus on growing a specific body part, consider adding an exercise for it at the start of each workout.

To do that in Dr. Muscle, just tap the pen icon (top-right).

It might just help you return to your previous fitness level faster -- or zoom past it.

To your gains,
