Happy holidays! I hope this newsletter finds you well. December is usually a pretty busy month for my family, where we balance our normally hectic days with extra projects snuck in between. Most of you know I'm a huge fan of Christmas decorations. It usually takes a weekend to get all the halls decked inside and out of our house. I love things that mesh my love of fantasy and the season, and this year we added a few new such ornaments to our tree.
Nothing says Christmas like a mermaid in a full holiday sweater, right up to the fins.
I'm not much of a baker (I'm fortunate enough that my husband loves tinkering in the kitchen), but I do enjoy our annual Christmas cookie baking. Along with the normal snowmen and snowflakes, we have a cat cookie cutter, and this year, my husband decided we needed a Halloween throwback in our Thor cookie jar.
Its cinnamon eyes know whether you are naughty or nice.
I have another reason to celebrate this year. My release last month, Mom of the Chosen One, has been my most successful book launch yet! With a 4.2 star average and almost 30 reviews in less than a month, I'm thrilled so far with the book's reception. If you are one of the people who's already read and given the book a positive review, thank you! It means the world to me.
Book 2, Mom on a Quest, is set to release on January 18th! I already have rough drafts of the entire 4-book series of Magical Midlife Mom. I plan on releasing all the books by end of spring 2023, so you won't have to wait long for the next installment.
And one last bit of good news: Amazon accepted my Nature Wizard box set into its Prime Reading program! That means if you have a prime membership (the kind you use to get free shipping and videos on Amazon), you can download and read the first five books of the Magic of Nasci for free! Unlike Kindle Unlimited, I make no money on page reads through this program, but it's a nice gift to new readers during this season of giving.
And hey, for those of you that have read this far, I am tinkering with an outline for Book 9 of the Magic of Nasci. We'll have to see if I can get it fleshed out into full book form in the new year...
Got your own fantasy-related Christmas cheer? I love that stuff! Send me a line at [email protected] to show it off.
