I'm a huge sucker for the seasons changing. This year because of our prolonged summer, autumn took its time morphing the trees' color palette around town. Then, when the weather did decide to cool off, the temperatures plunged like a pair of cement shoes, throwing my wardrobe into chaos.
The subsequent overnight freezes also meant the leaves changed and fell rather quickly this year, but I was able to capture a few good photos in that narrow window of time.
My favorite autumn photos are always the ones with the full range of red to green. Hooray for tree rainbows!
Normally I wouldn't send a newsletter so soon after the last one earlier this week, but to celebrate autumn, the International Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors has an 8-book bundle of free urban fantasy books, including my YA entry: Magic Portal. Also, huge thanks to everyone who has read Mom of the Chosen One so far! It's been my best book launch ever, and I'm so grateful to all my readers. If you want to talk about the book, don't hesitate to send me a line at [email protected].
