Hello Fellow Book Reader,
I have to say, if you told me back in April that I would be sitting here in July still dealing with this pandemic, I wouldnt have believed you. I honestly thought this would be over by May. And, if im completely honest with you, Im tired of it lol. Im tired of no movie theatres, Im tired of doing nothing but grocery shopping and sitting at home, Im just tired. This is coming from an introverted person that absolutely love to be alone lol.
But I take it seriously, Im not one of those people that think its a hoax or a conspiracy. Ive had 4 family member get the virus, 1 passed away (extended family). Coworkers have gotten it. I was just tested last week (negative, I didnt have it). so Ive seen enough where I know its no joke and we should be careful. Restaurants are open with social distancing but Im not sitting in anyones restaurant just yet.
One good thing about things being shut down, I have learned (or should I say am learning) how to cut my own hair. I think by the time things are back to normal, I'll probably be good enough to where I wont go to the barber shop anymore. I just ordered my second pair of clippers as I wanted a pair that is a little better than the $20 walmart setup I bought at first.
But enough about that, lets get to the news. I have some things I'd like to share
NEWS
Ok, So as far as book releases, Ive been a little tight this year. but things are about to change here in a month. Ive mentioned the Notorious Minds Thriller boxset that I have a story in (its 99 cents, grab it here). But I also have a book that is ready to be released.
This book is a Thriller! and Im very excited. Just got the cover back the other day and it is awesome. I am very pleased. Im going to have an official cover reveal on September 1st (the book releases on Oct 20). Im sure I will share it with you guys before then. Still trying to plan it out.
but
What I can share with you today is the official blurb and title
The Injection: A Thriller
DL Jones and Devante Cresh
The only thing to save two old friends from death may also be what kills them.
Mr. Peters is a successful business owner. Other than dealing with a recent rash of break-ins, he lives a very satisfying life. That was until a childhood friend and brilliant scientist paid him a visit.
While the two friends had a troubled past, not speaking for ten years, the reunion was a happy one. That happiness quickly took a wrong turn as their lives are threatened.
Now held captive, the use of an experimental drug was the only option. A top-secret drug that enhanced a person’s will and physicality is the only thing giving them a fighting chance.
However, there are deadly side effects. Along with enhanced abilities comes a decrease in mental stability. Moreover, there is more to the kidnappings than first thought.
Will the two childhood friends maintain their sanity long enough to survive?
So this will be out October 20, Preorder and cover reveal starts September 1. Keep checking out these newsletters for more info!
