Hi friend!
Here's something for you to...
1) watch.
What if He Falls? The Terrifying Reality Behind Filming “Free Solo”
Watching this gave me chills.
Behind the scenes of the doc about professional free-climber Alex Honnold.
2) read.
Four Signs a Person Is Secretly Unhappy with Their Life
Quite the helpful read.
3) use.
Principles of Ultralearning: Drills
From the super cool book I just read, Ultralearning. It's about how you can learn difficult things in a short amount of time.
My biggest takeaway: drills.
I now have a list of weak spots in the things I'm trying to improve—chess, jiu jitsu, owning a business, and coaching. With each weakness, I set intentional time to practice (drill) it so I may fill in the holes.
4) listen to.
Why you think you're right -- even if you're wrong
A lovely TED Talk from Julia Galef.
Other videos of hers I love: How to criticize someone, Why you shouldn't try to "change your mind", and Shoulding at the universe.
Extras.
Some of my blogs.
Picasso's napkin
On valuing yourself and your experience.
I love Imposter Syndrome
On doubt, humility, and ambition.
Quotes.
"To be mature you have to realize what you value most.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt
“You can have anything you want in life, if you are willing to ask a thousand people.”
-Byron Katie
“Fucking levitate in front of me. See what happens.”
-Wes Harper
