The Duolingo English Test just officially announced its 2024 update with three new question types being added to the test on April 2nd.

Here they are 👇

New Question 1: Read and Select

New Question 2: Fill in the Blanks

New Question 3: Interactive Writing

If you are planning to take the DET after April 2nd 2024, it is crucial you know what question types are on the test.

👇 This is what the DET in 2024 looks like:

1. Read and Select (New) 1 set of 15-18 words
2. Fill in the Blanks (New) 1 set 6-9 sentences
3. Read and Complete - 3-6 times on the test
4. Read Aloud - 3-6 times
5. Listen and Type - 4-9 times
6. Interactive Listening / Summary - 2 times
7. Interactive Reading - 2 times
8. Write About the Photo - 3 times
9. Speak About the Photo - 1 time
10. Interactive Writing (new) - 1 time
11. Read, Then Speak - 1 time
12. Listen, Then Speak - 2 times
13. Speaking Sample - 1 time
14. Writing Sample - 1 time
