about this collection

The creation of this collection was inspired by World Beard Day, an unofficial holiday on the first Saturday of September that celebrates beards. We don't know the origin of World Beard Day, but some historians state that a day to honor beards was celebrated by the Danish Vikings as far back as 800 A.D.

Since it is believed that people didn't start shaving until around 4000 B.C., in the beginning of history all men would have had beards. It was extremely functional for keeping warm, as well as for cushioning a blow if caught in a tussle.

We're focused on the warmth part and hope to bring you some heat. This collection was put together to celebrate and appreciate our bearded book boyfriends. These excerpts are for those that love to read about the tickle of bristles along the neck ... and other places.
