Why are my flabbers utterly gasted?

G'day, ,
My flabbers are utterly gasted that it's November.
November!
I don't even know where this year's gone. I mean, the last two months have been a complete blur for me with my mum and her declining health, but the rest of the year seems to have vanished into the ether.
Poof! Gone! Just like that!
We'll be celebrating our youngest son's 21st birthday in the middle of the month. I can't believe my baby is already 21! We usually have family around for afternoon tea, and then he'll hopefully do something with his friends in the evening. I say "hopefully", because he's a bit of a homebody.
Hubby has sort of grown used to the idea of retirement. We've had a lot going on, so it's been difficult to get into a routine, but things are settling somewhat, which will allow us to establish a new normal.
I'm busy trying to find a suitable aged care facility for Mum. She's been assessed as "high need", which reduces the number of places where we can apply for a bed. For now, she'll stay where she is, but we're hoping to find something closer to home. Wish us luck! 🤞
As you can imagine, with so much going on in my personal life, my head hasn't been in the right space for writing, so I don't have any updates for you on Nix and Abbi.
This doesn't mean that their story hasn't been percolating on the back burner.
As I've thought about Nix and Abbi, I've come to the realisation that Abbi is of a certain age (49) and as such will need to exhibit the appropriate symptoms.
Cue the hot flashes. 🥵 🧖 🤣
I have plenty of ideas for their story and for more couples in a completely new series as well as adding more stories to some of my existing series.
Be sure to stay tuned!
Each month throughout 2025, I'll be sharing a free
Cinnamon Roll Book Boyfriend for you to add to your collection!
This month's boyfriend is ...
I've had a wonderful reading month, discovering a brand new to me author (Somme Sketcher) who had me hooked on her dark mafia romance. I gobbled up all three of her books so fast. I had so much to do around the house, but I kept sneaking off to read another chapter. 😆
I also went back to read more from some of my favourite authors, whom I know always write a great story! If you haven't read Emma Chase, what are you even doing with your reading time?
I've enjoyed every single book in Melanie Moreland's My Favorite series. These stories are so much fun.
How was your reading month? Did you find any gems? I'm always looking for new books to add to my TBR pile.
Here's your reading tracker for November. May you fill every space with fantastic stories!
