Yesterday was wild!

*exhausted waving from my couch* as I recover from Wild Out West (a book event) in my hometown, which took place yesterday.

It was fantastic to spend the day among peers and readers, to catch up with friends, and chat about books all day. But now I need around 3 to 5 business days to recover. 🤣🤣🤣

For the first time ever, I didn't lose money as an attending author. This is a milestone worth celebrating! Woohoo! 🥳🥳🥳

A lot of planning goes into attending an event, so I'm hoping now that the event is done for this year, I can focus back on writing.

I hope you had a great month and that this coming month is good to you. We all need all the GOOD we can get right now. 💜💜💜

Last month I had hoped to finish Nix and Abbi's story within a few weeks, which technically means I should have written the end by now, since an entire month has passed.

I have added 14,381 words this past month, leaving me with half a chapter and the epilogue to go!

My only excuse is that life has been life-ing and I've picked up extra shifts at work (which is about to become my new norm). It seems I only have short windows of opportunity between everyday tasks, family commitments, work, and feeling exhausted to be creative.

As you know, each of my books is inspired by a song. For this book, I thought Some Things I'll Never Know by Teddy Swims would be the perfect fit, but I've changed my mind after listening to the playlist on repeat. If you get a spare moment, listen to Whatever It Takes by Lifehouse; the NEW song for Everlasting Vows. It encompasses the feel of Nix and Abbi's story perfectly.

I have been binge-reading a series that I've been meaning to get to for ages. Krista and Becca Ritchie first caught my eye with their Calloway Sisters and Addicted series. I loved their stories so much when I read them years ago. And I'm loving them again now with their second-generation series, which follows the eldest children of the OG couples as they fall in love with their bodyguards.

My favourite couple this time around has been Maximoff and Farrow (books 1-3 & 6). This MM couple has the BEST chemistry I've read in a while, and they have literally had me smiling and kicking my feet.

I've also thoroughly enjoyed seeing the OG couples again, even though their cameos have been relatively small.
