I'm seriously trying to build a machine that slows down time. This year is flying by way too fast for my liking. I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that it's already September!

August was a bit of a weird month for me with books. For the first time in a long time, I DNFd a bunch of books. There was nothing wrong with the books per se, it was that I wasn't feeling them at the time or they had a trope I wasn't a fan of. I'm not sure if I'll go back to them because I have so many books I would like to read and not enough time to do it!

Melanie Moreland's My Favorite Kidnapper was as cute as the cover suggests. I met her while I was in Canada and she is just the sweetest! If you're looking for something cute, I definitely recommend this one.

I also enjoyed an extremely hot, short read 'Theirs' by Luna Maree and am loving the ARC of Outcast (which is a spin-off from her Kings of Hell series) that I was fortunate to receive from her alter ego, Alexis Maree. Who would have thought wings on a man were so schmexy? I have so many questions and I have to wait for all the answers ... please give me the patience I need. lol
