It's August! How is that possible?

Seriously, could the year slow down a little, please?

Our eldest son turns twenty-two this month and I have no idea where the years have gone. Watching him become an amazing young man is great, but time seems to be flying by in a blur. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.

A few people responded to my brownie question last week and I was thrilled that some of you were going to try my method next time you baked brownies so you could have that crunchy edge and the gooey middle in each bite.

My question for this newsletter is:

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I grew up with dogs and loved them to pieces but there's something about the independence of a cat I enjoy. When our cat, Molly (pictured above), decides to sit on my lap, I feel as though I've won a prize. 🤣

How did you go with your reading goals last month? It's taken me an entire month to read Aleatha Romig's Sin Series. To be fair it's four books and my time is limited but I've thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in Aleatha's words once again.
