Five Fabulous BC Mystery Authors
Apr 17, 2022 5:04 pm
Today’s newsletter isn’t about my books, although new offers are coming up during the first week of May. For now, I just want to wish everyone a Happy Easter, Passover, or Ramadan, however you celebrate. If you don’t follow any of these traditions, then celebrate a long weekend! Who couldn’t use a little more downtime?
I’m also featuring five terrific British Columbia mystery authors who I’ve gotten to know over the past couple of years. Actually, there are far more than five on my list, but I have to cut it off at some point or this newsletter would be far too long. As it is, I’ve omitted a lot of graphics to make downloading easier, so in alphabetical order,
AJ Devlin, https://ajdevlin.com/ is an award-winning author with two great mystery comedies, Cobra Clutch and Rolling Thunder, set in Vancouver, and will be releasing his third in September. His books are fun, fast-paced, and completely entertaining.
Erik D’Souza, https://erikdsouza.com/about-erik-dsouza/ is a cozy mystery author whose debut amateur sleuth mystery, Death in Halfmoon Bay, is an excellent story set in the community of Halfmoon Bay on BC’s Sunshine Coast.
Winona Kent, https://www.winonakent.com/ has written a number of novels, and just released #4 in her Jason Davey mystery series. So far, I’ve read two and really love this series. It’s a great blend of whodunit and humour. Those who love British-based mysteries and music will especially adore this series.
JP McClean, https://jpmcleanauthor.com/ JP’s excellent supernatural thrillers blend fantasy and mystery. Check out The Gift Legacy series and her brand new book. Blood Mark. Readers have called her stories, addictive, smart, and fun, and they sure are.
Joanna Vander Vlugt, https://www.jcvartstudio.net/ has two terrific thrillers, The Unravelling and Dealer’s Child, set in picturesque Victoria, BC. The first book features lawyer, Jade, and the second brings her sister Sage into an intriguing story that focuses on their family. Joanna’s also an artist and the podcaster who interviewed me back in September. The link is here: https://anchor.fm/jcvartstudio/episodes/Mystery-Author--Debra-Purdy-Kong-e16s9ns
