Speaking of Casey Holland mysteries, here’s a fun fact. Since my main character, Casey, works in security, I took a job doing exactly that at a post-secondary campus several years ago. During those, seven-hour shifts, I did a heck of a lot of walking, met some interesting people, and wound up in some truly awkward situations.

Shortly after I left the job, I published two novellas with a small press about the escapades of a hapless security guard who discovers a body on campus. I enjoyed writing about Evan Dunstan, but when the press closed down, I stopped the series. Finally, Evan and Casey will meet in her next adventure, and some of my experiences will be in the book. Over the next couple of months, I’ll let you know which ones I’m including in Casey Holland mystery #8, as yet untitled.
