I hope life is treating you well and that you’ve made time for reading in what is usually a busy season full of events, spring cleaning, and in our area, spring break for the school kids.

Since my last newsletter, I completed the final edits for my first urban fantasy and will be starting the submission process later this month. I’ve also begun writing the second installment in this multi-generational trilogy. The writing life always requires that authors juggle several balls at one time, but somehow I make it work most of the time.

My contribution is the 7^th and most recent installment in my Casey Holland mysteries, A Gold Satin Murder. As a novella, it’s the shortest but also most humorous story in the series. After writing Knock Knock and The Blade Man, I wanted to focus on something lighter. I wasn’t sure I would actually publish this novella as it was basically written for fun, but the feedback was so positive that I went ahead. Casey’s new adventure is nothing like anything she’s ever experienced. Here’s the blurb:
