Speaking of odd romantic situations, when I was a campus security guard, paid parking on campus was mandatory, even for the remote lots. On the CCTV cameras, we noticed that a van had started parking in a secluded lot during the lunch hour and not paying for parking. A car always pulled up beside it, and a woman stepped out and entered the van. When a guard knocked on the driver’s door to deal with the non-paying issue, it became clear that he’d interrupted a pair of middle-aged lovers. Highly embarrassed (the guard as well) the couple swiftly left and never returned.
