Welcome, new subscribers!

In the past month, we’ve gone from warm sunny days here in Metro Vancouver to cloudy windy days with a significant temperature drop. I walk every day after lunch and much prefer the cooler weather. Walking’s a favourite exercise, a way to reset my mind from working on my urban fantasy in the morning to the paranormal mystery novel in the afternoons. I keep notes to stay on track, but as I’ve worked on multiple projects for most of my life, switching genres isn’t that difficult.

Aside from walking, I also love flowers and this year’s surprise was a sunflower plant in our garden. It wasn’t something my spouse planted, so the seed(s) must have blown our way or been dropped by a bird. As you’ll see from the photo, our little plant turned out to be a giant species.
