I’m nearly finished the second draft of my second urban fantasy, which has now exploded to 99,000 words. That’s what happens when your critique partners tell you that your transitions are too abrupt or you need to flesh out details. One of the subplots in the book is a murder investigation. It turns out I can’t stop writing about crime.

I’m introducing a new section in my newsletter called Great Quotes. I’ve been collecting them over the years and thought it’d be fun to share some. Some of the quotes are sombre, others like the one below, are not. I can relate to this one!
