Welcome to new subscribers! It’s a pleasure to have you join us, and I hope everyone is making time for reading this month. Most of my reading is done just before going to sleep, but lately I’ve been adding a half-hour or so after dinner to speed up the number of books I can get to. Last year’s total was 45. I’m striving to do a little better in 2025.

After dealing with many appointments this month, it’s time to focus on editing and finish draft #2 of my second urban fantasy. An agent has asked to see more of my submission for the first book, so I’ll take that as a positive sign.

I need to resume work on my new paranormal mystery which I haven’t looked at since October. I’m still in the developmental editing stage, which means figuring out if the story hangs together overall, especially when it comes to pacing, suspense-building, and incorporating subplots. With luck, I’ll be able to set aside a few hours to read the whole thing through.
