🌊 From the Coast

We're at the coast house this week, enjoying the little beach town before the craziness of the holiday weekend hits. Morning walks seem slower, dinner somehow tastes better, and life feels a feels a little less demanding, it's not, but I can pretend, right? :)

šŸ° Cozy Corner: Little Comforts & Clever Finds

This week’s cozy find:

A ā€œbarely cookingā€ summer dinner.

Lately I’ve been loving simple meals that don’t heat up the kitchen—fresh fruit, sliced tomatoes, cheese and crackers, maybe a little chicken salad if I’m feeling ambitious. (Okay, I'll be honest the fried chicken from the grocery store is just fine with me!)

It’s the kind of meal that feels easy and relaxed… especially eaten near an open window with a little music playing in the background.

Honestly, I think summer food should always be this simple.

āœļø From the Writer’s Desk

This week in my writing world…

Things are officially starting to come together for A Corpse at a Clambake—including the cover… and I’m so excited about it because it is so cute!

The official cover reveal is happening in mid-June, and newsletter subscribers will get to see it first šŸ’›

I can’t wait to share this one with you. This story feels especially fun and coastal and just a little mischievous - I mean, someone does die!

And yes… I’m already falling down the research rabbit hole of clambakes, beach town events, and all the ways things can go terribly wrong in a cozy mystery šŸ˜„

šŸ· Dishin’ with Deb

Tell me this…

What’s your perfect summer evening?

Good food? Sitting outside? A beach sunset? A glass of wine with friends?

Hit reply and tell me—I love hearing from you (and I promise I won’t gossip… much šŸ˜‰)

šŸ’› What I’m Loving Lately

This week: What I’m listening to?

I'm at that age where Fleetwood Mac has been the soundtrack to my youth and this week lately—with a healthy dose of Stevie Nicks mixed in, of course.

There’s just something about her voice that feels timeless and magical, especially with the windows open and the ocean breeze drifting through the house. Landslide...can put that on repeat for days.

Now I’m curious… what artist could you listen to over and over and never get tired of? Hit reply and let me know, I try to read and respond to all my emails.

šŸ” A Little Extra for You

One last thing before you go… there’s a password-protected section on my website just for you. I like to think of it as where I keep the "behind-the-scenes" stuff and if you haven't stopped by lately - Jonah's backstory is LIVE! Take a look at what makes that man tickšŸ˜‰
