Sunday greetings from Author Debora Dennis

š” Happy Sunday!
This week Iām writing from the country, where the birds are louder now that Spring has arrived and the morning started with coffee on the porch⦠and me pretending I didnāt already have a to-do list waiting inside.
It was one of those weeks where I meant to slow down a littleābut somehow thereās always something calling my name (laundry, emails, doctor appointments to make). Still, Iāve been trying to steal a few quiet moments here and there⦠even if itās just sitting for a minute longer with my coffee before the day gets going. You can probably relate!

š° Cozy Corner: Little Comforts & Clever Finds
This weekās cozy find:
A super simple āuse what you haveā fruit crisp.
I had a handful of blueberries that needed to be used, tossed them with a little sugar and lemon, and topped it with a quick mix of oats, butter, and brown sugar. Into the oven it wentāand suddenly the whole house smelled amazing.
Itās not fancy, but itās one of those comforting, no-stress desserts that feels like a little reward at the end of the day. (Of course, I had to top it with whipped cream!)
If you try your own version, tell me what you usedāI love seeing how everyone makes things their own!

āļø From the Writerās Desk
This week in my writing worldā¦
Death on a Dinner Cruise is officially back from my editorāwith line edits š
Which means Iām deep in that phase of reviewing, tweaking, and catching all those little details that make the story stronger. Itās always a mix of āoh good catch!ā and āhow did I miss that?āābut I genuinely love seeing the story come together at this stage.
Weāre getting closer, and thatās such a good feeling.

If you could drop everything for a week and go anywhereāno planning, no responsibilitiesāwhere would you go?
Beach? Mountains? Cozy small town somewhere?
Here's a picture I took this week of one of the beautiful sunsets we see often here in Greenville, South Carolina.
