šŸ” Happy Sunday!

This week I’m writing from the country, where the birds are louder now that Spring has arrived and the morning started with coffee on the porch… and me pretending I didn’t already have a to-do list waiting inside.

It was one of those weeks where I meant to slow down a little—but somehow there’s always something calling my name (laundry, emails, doctor appointments to make). Still, I’ve been trying to steal a few quiet moments here and there… even if it’s just sitting for a minute longer with my coffee before the day gets going. You can probably relate!

šŸ° Cozy Corner: Little Comforts & Clever Finds

This week’s cozy find:

A super simple ā€œuse what you haveā€ fruit crisp.

I had a handful of blueberries that needed to be used, tossed them with a little sugar and lemon, and topped it with a quick mix of oats, butter, and brown sugar. Into the oven it went—and suddenly the whole house smelled amazing.

It’s not fancy, but it’s one of those comforting, no-stress desserts that feels like a little reward at the end of the day. (Of course, I had to top it with whipped cream!)

If you try your own version, tell me what you used—I love seeing how everyone makes things their own!

āœļø From the Writer’s Desk

This week in my writing world…

Death on a Dinner Cruise is officially back from my editor—with line edits šŸ˜„

Which means I’m deep in that phase of reviewing, tweaking, and catching all those little details that make the story stronger. It’s always a mix of ā€œoh good catch!ā€ and ā€œhow did I miss that?ā€ā€”but I genuinely love seeing the story come together at this stage.

We’re getting closer, and that’s such a good feeling.

Before you go…it's time for the QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

If you could drop everything for a week and go anywhere—no planning, no responsibilities—where would you go?

Beach? Mountains? Cozy small town somewhere?

Here's a picture I took this week of one of the beautiful sunsets we see often here in Greenville, South Carolina.
