What's happening in 2024

Hey,

It's a New Year and time to dive into what's coming in 2024 in Optimizers Club.

First of all, our new group site will be live at the end of the month.

The new minimal design will allow you to view new training videos more easily & allow the creation of courses that aren't only limited to video.

As it's a custom build it also means we can add in tools and connect APIs like OpenAI to create things that compliment the training better. I'm open to ideas!

Speaking of training. What's in store?

I'm focusing the group more on the technical side of things going forward. It's an area that's still sorely underappreciated and it's left us with a messy web. The problem for business owners now is that they're getting left behind, bogged down by technical debt that prevents them from making impactful changes.

Last year I started noticing immense improvements in rankings from fixing rendering issues, page experience problems, and other technical things that affect your user's experience. That's a big change because in the past these things rarely had such a large impact on rankings.

The other thing? People don't realize the need to audit sites with multiple tools, using different settings, and at different times. I'm going to help you understand why that is and show you how to audit sites like a pro developer.

So here's what I'm thinking.

1. Modern WordPress Optimization

WordPress has changed a lot in the last 12 months. The plugin landscape has as well. Perhaps this is all because of AI or it could also be to do with competing CMS' starting to become attractive alternatives. Either way, there's a lot more that can be done now to make WordPress a publisher's best friend. I want to show you how to fix common issues, improve Core Web Vitals, reduce your plugin usage, and get better results both organically and with conversions.

2. Technical SEO Mastery

I've always been tight-lipped about my technical SEO process. Interestingly, half the industry doesn't believe in it and the other half thinks it's simpler than it is. I'm finally going to show you how to audit sites like a developer. This will include checklists, guidance for those wanting to offer services, and live audit videos that will likely teach you more about websites than anything you've seen before.

3. Content Optimization with GPTs

Another thing that isn't going away is the usage of AI. It's changed the game and quite honestly the old way of doing content optimization and on-page optimization no longer makes sense. You have to take advantage of the efficiency and effectiveness that GPTs offer. I spent most of last year developing my workflows and I want to share them with you.

What else?

Some of the existing content in the membership will be retired. There are plenty of other places that focus on picking a niche, link building, and so on.

However, hopefully, we'll be able to talk about all those things. I'm planning on retiring the Discord server permanently when the new site goes live. We'll be moving onto WhatsApp instead to encourage more natural conversations. I hope this will eventually allow us all to finally do some group calls and hangouts.

You can also expect a lot more emails this year with a monthly newsletter that's designed to keep you up to date on what's happening in both SEO and online in general so that we're always one step ahead. Plus, it'll be great for those of you who want to be kept in the loop about new training but don't have the time for the more social element of the group.

Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to a great 2024 for Optimizers Club!

Thanks,

Daniel :)
