Hi There, Dear Readers!
I'm officially done with summer and it's not even June 21st yet.
After spending a week in the cool mountain air, I came back home to find our whole house fan not working.
And it's been 90 degrees the past few days. And we live in an old house without central air (but we have portable air units so don't feel too sorry for us). And the electrician I normally call is booked for two weeks.
Luckily, our son-in-law is a brilliant (and handy!) electrical engineer. I hated to ask him to come to our rescue since his job takes enough of his time AND he and my daughter have a newborn and a very busy two-year-old. But it literally took him five minutes to fix. Thank you, LORD! And, bonus: I visited with the grand girls while he worked his electrical magic!
On the book news front, I'm hard at work on Love, Lies and Lemon Pie, Book #4 (coming in September). The multi-author series I'm a part of is also well underway, with the first novella publishing in August and the sixth wrapping up in December. I'm also planning to compile a boxed set of Love, Lies and Fireflies, Love, Lies and Lavender, and Her North Shore Christmas (another Blueberry Point series-related Christmas novella) which will be in ebook AND paperback, mostly for people who have yet to read the series. I'll be adding some special recipes from the novels too for some fun bonus content. I hope to get that ready to go well before Christmas.
This week the Hearts in Hendricks boxed set is on sale for only $0.99! That's right: FOUR full-length novels for one sweet price. If you haven't read all of these yet, now is the time to add it to your Kindle.
What am I reading now? I'm still enjoying my newest author crush with Katherine Centers' backlist. While on vacation, I picked up an advance reader copy of her Everyone is Beautiful novel at a flea market in Laramie. When I'm finished with it, I'll add it to the Clean My Shelves giveaway in the next newsletter so someone else might be able to enjoy it!
