My husband and I piled into the car the other night along with the dog with hopes of catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
We saw a lot of stars. Other cars parked alongside the country roads we drove, too, all sharing the same mission. A coyote and a raccoon even crossed paths with us.
But we weren't patient enough. Photos flooded my Facebook feed the next morning, many from friends who lived close by. The green and fuchsia bands of light lit the dark sky like someone had taken a brush of neon paint to a black canvas. If only we'd waited a little longer.

If you downloaded this during the Sweet and Swoony event when it was Love Between the Lines, it's the same story only expanded into a full-length novel. I want to be clear on that so no one buys this book thinking it's a completely different story. A new character appears who will hop over to the new series which debuts in the fall.

I've got a busy weekend planned which includes hosting eleven seniors from my husband's geology department for a farewell dinner. Also, our son is making a quick trip home from Austin to photograph his best friend's proposal. He was the matchmaker for introducing the couple in college. Who doesn't love happy endings?
