Hi There, Readers!
I hope the spring weather has finally reached you wherever you are! It's crazy here: 40s at night, then 70s and 80s in the afternoon. At least I don't have to cover my flowers anymore. I'm on Trip 3 to the greenhouse. It usually takes me a handful of visits before I have enough to fill my pots and beds. Just when I think I need to dial my flower-buying habit, I add another pot or two.
Sad news.
This is the first spring that I won't be able to release a new book. I've really tried to get Hearts and Homecomings to a place where I felt confident it'd become the best book, but it's not there yet. With my hubby's cancer surgery in April and our son's upcoming wedding, my focus has not been on writing as much as it has been in the past. Add to that my parents' health issues and three busy grand girls, and we're very much in the thick of caregiving on all fronts. You may have noticed I'm less active on social media these last few months, and that's a direct result of our crazy life right now. I'll be back in the swing; I just have needed a breather.
That said, I'm planning a few special sales and events between now and when Hearts and Homecomings releases. I'm hoping for an August release for the book at the latest. Coming up next week, a special boxset sale will be happening starting this Sunday. You can follow me on Amazon to get all sale notices, otherwise this particular one will be in next Wednesday's newsletter too. There's still a big release giveaway on the table, but I'm delaying that until closer to when the book publishes.
I wish I didn't have to delay the book release but Port Chance deserves the best last book in the series from me.
