A little change was in order in case you're wondering why the newsletter looks different this week! I'm making changes across the board: in my newsletter, in my Facebook group, and on my author page. It feels a little more fresh to me. Plus, fiddling with graphic design is my go-to procrastination tool when words need writing!
Speaking of change, we've been spoiled with the fall-like weather here in central Illinois this past month. I've been tempted to turn on the furnace in the morning but so far an extra cup of coffee and throwing on a fleece sweater has sufficed. It's been ideal for walks in the woods. But with my poor knee, I can only hobble to a nearest boulder where I sit and collect acorns with one grandgirl, then the other while my hubby takes the extended hike with each of them.
In book news, this is the week for the GINORMOUS e-book giveaway that author Zoe York sponsors quarterly. See more details below. Personally, I'm winding down the writing on That Woman on Thistledown Lane. I know you'll love Janie Wendell who you may remember from LOVE, LIES and LITERATURE as Cora Martin's friend. She's the headstrong sort and can't reconcile the fact that Mark Christie is back in town after the couple broke up three years prior so he could pursue his dream opportunity. Will she let down her guard long enough to let him back into her heart? Or did she ever let go completely?
Preorder That Woman on Thistledown Lane so it pops onto your Kindle the minute it publishes. And Kindle Unlimited subscribers, this title will start out in Amazon's subscription service so you're in luck!

I came home from the Romantic Galena Reads event with more paperbacks than I want to have on hand. I'd love for you to help take some off my hands! They'd make perfect Christmas gifts (it's never too early to start shopping) or a treat for yourself. If you order one or more books, your package will include one of my new bookmarks and a custom-designed bookish sticker. All prices on this form include postage.
I'm currently reading Under the Southern Sky by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I was pulled into this novel when I first spotted the cover. I buy books based on covers more often than I care to admit. Sometimes I find myself reading a winner, and sometimes not. But this one I'm enjoying although I'm not far enough in to judge yet. Think blue sky, clear coastal waters, a sailboat, and a woman in a floaty white shirt taking it all in. It's a romance so this one will eventually find it's way into a Clean My Shelves giveaway!
