September 13, 2023
I spent Saturday with hundreds of romance book lovers. I still haven't recovered.
It was the best book-crazy weekend I've had in a long time and I can't wait to go back to the Romantic Galena Reads event in 2024 (yes, the planning committee is already busy).
I loved the historic, haunted DeSoto House where I stayed and where the book signing was held. I was even assigned to Room 223 - my birthday!
I loved my catfish tacos for Friday night dinner.
I loved that there was a little farmer's market happening across the street from the hotel where I grabbed a freshly-picked apple and a slice of lemon poppyseed cake for my lunch since I knew I wouldn't leave my table from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I loved sitting in between Nancy Naigle and Sasha Summers, two authors extraordinaire. I wish I'd had more time to visit with them.
Maybe I'll see YOU there next year!

Since I met Nancy Naigle in Galena this past weekend, I picked up one of her books for my Kindle. The Secret Ingredient was made into a Hallmark original movie and it seems to have all my favorite elements: a bake-off, a second-chance romance, and yummy recipes too. I'll let you know how I like it next time. Also, check out Michelle Pennington's new romcom and a free read from R. Castro by clicking on those pretty covers.

She was just the disaster he needed.
"Michelle Pennington writes hilarious books! I loved the shenanigans that Matt and Ren got into with wardrobe malfunctions, revenge plots, office dynamics and more. I also like that Michelle writes non-traditional characters who often don’t see their self-worth so clearly, but are beautiful inside and out." - Amazon review
FREE BOOK ALERT!
A story of transformation.
And a very fluffy companion playing cupid too.
