We're heading out of Portland this morning, traveling south again to Utah (and hopefully) a little warmer weather. It has been cold and rainy these last four days, not a very welcoming climate for my first visit here. On the bright side, Voodoo Donuts was just down the street from the hotel and we visited Powell's Books on Sunday (I'm still overwhelmed). I could have spent the entire day there! I found it interesting that used books were shelved alongside new ones of the same title. I'm always on the lookout for bookstores and bakeries when we travel. Is it just me or does anyone else do this?
In book news, I'm putting the finishing touches on A Forever Kiss in Silver Leaf Falls before I send it off to the editor.
