Happy New Year everyone!

I know eleven days have passed since we hung up our 2023 calendars but this is the first newsletter of the year. And I'm so thankful you're here!

We breezed into the new year with relative ease here. No one got sick with all the comings and goings of family and events. I spent December 31st by myself at home with the pup while my husband traveled with our youngest son to Death Valley to work on a new geology project. In bed at 10pm, I had no regrets about my New Year's Eve being on the quiet side. I'm not much of a reveler!

Book-wise, the biggest news is that the Hearts in Hendricks series ebooks will be added to all stores by the end of the month. I've wrangled over this for a while now, taking them out of the Kindle Unlimited program so I can sell them everywhere. That's the downside of Amazon: they restrict you from selling your e-books elsewhere if your books are in KU program. So look for links in this month's newsletters if you like to read on your Nook, Apple device, or others, and haven't yet dived into the series.

I'd also like your feedback on some things I've been curious about. I've put together a survey with questions related to my books, the newsletter, your reading habits, and preferences in the romance genre. If you'll fill this out between now and this Sunday, 1/15, you'll be entered for a chance to win a $10 Amazon gift card.

It's the Clean My Shelves Giveaway 2023 Edition! I have six books to choose from this time. A few you've probably seen before, and there are some new books too. I’ll pick TWO lucky winners from those who send me their choice by replying to this e-mail. Please take note: all of these are lovingly USED books. And so sorry, non-US friends, I can only ship within the country. If by chance I choose someone outside the U.S., I’ll offer a $5 Amazon gift card instead.

The contest closes on Sunday night 1/15/22, at 7 p.m. CST. Winners will be notified via e-mail on Monday and have 48 hours to respond. PLEASE check your e-mail on Monday! Winners will also be announced in the next

newsletter.

What's on my nightstand this week? I'm finishing The Hotel by Pamela Kelley so I can start Sarah Addison Allen's Other Birds. Drop me the title of the book you're reading this week by replying to this e-mail. I'd love to know what book is keeping you up at night!
