December 26, 2022
We had a pleasant Christmas weekend here in Central Illinois, courtesy in part to the awful cold weather that descended on us from Thursday through Saturday. It forced us to slow down a little as a few activities we had planned were canceled. Unfortunately, it also meant our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day church services were cancelled since our pastors travel some distance and serve multiple churches in our parish. But we did see our granddaughter perform in her first choir at another church, and our family's Christmas Eve get together was not hindered by the weather.
There's a special holiday event taking place this week in Silver Leaf Falls, Vermont. The little group of novellas which five other authors and I published a year ago are FREE this week. Yes, you heard that right -- all six novellas are FREE and in KU too! Does it get any better than that? Go to the series page to grab them all at once.

What's on my nightstand during the last week of the year? I'm finishing The White Christmas Inn by Colleen Wright. Next up is Sarah Addison Allen's Other Birds. Drop me the title of the book you're reading this week by replying to this e-mail. I'd love to know what book is keeping you up at night!
I hope you are all well and enjoying the last week of 2022. See you in the New Year!

"This was one of the most heartfelt stories I have read in a long time. The storyline caught me from beginning to end, I'm so very glad I read it and would re-read it again, it was THAT good!!" - Amazon review
