It was a wedding of high school sweethearts, this celebration I was lucky enough to witness this past weekend. Weddings always get me emotional, which would make those closest to me laugh. I don't cry easily. The only times my eyes have watered in the last two years is when the pollen count is high Yes, it's been that long since I've been to a wedding! It's the whole sanctuary waiting for the bride to appear, the music, the personal touches that makes each ceremony unique and meaningful. But I think the couple being introduced for the first time at the end of the ceremony makes me the most weepy!
While I was in town for the wedding, I started an inspiration folder for a new series, coming next fall. The scenic photo below hints at the setting. I'll be taking more photos in two weeks when my husband and I pass through the area again. It's really like a second home to me since his family lives there. I'm excited to start focusing on a new locale for more small-town romances, but first to finish the Blueberry Point series. Two more books⏤coming in October and February!

What am I reading this month? I had to put down a novel called The Writing Class which sounded really good when I read the back cover synopsis. It ended up be very wordy and slow to take off though. I had not finishing novels, but I've come to a point where I'm comfortable setting them aside. There's too many books to read to not enjoy the experience! So, now I'm reading The Nature Principle, a non-fiction book about our need to get outside more and what it does for us physically and mentally. It's a little more scientific than what I'm used to, but so far it's pretty engaging.
