Oh, it's hotttt and it's not even June.
I'm counting the days until our Lake Superior vacation, but first the garden needs to be finished. I have more tomatoes, peppers and squash to plant but I can't bring myself to get into the garden, even at dusk when it's still above 80 degrees. I know, I'm a big baby when it comes to the heat. My husband and I are the only ones we know who talk about retiring to the Upper Midwest someday instead of going South.
In book news, I'm plotting the last two books for the Blueberry Point series. I've already starting writing Love, Lies and Sleigh Rides (October release), but I'm still playing around with the plot. Sometimes it's better to just dive right into the writing and tinker with the plot along the way. More often I do a little more planning, chapter by chapter, with notes about the scene before I actually start drafting. I'm not sure why the process changes for me book to book, but after writing 10+ books, I've learned not to question my muse too much.

The Blueberry Point Collection released last week and the reviews are still trickling in. If you missed the announcement, this group of novellas is available on ALL platforms, not just Amazon this time. I know, that means it's not in Kindle Unlimited. Yet. I'll be releasing the paperback in July at which time this novella collection will go into KU.

It's finally deck-reading weather! When it's not too hot, I'll take my lunch outside and a book or magazine to read before I get back to work. Since I'm between books right now, I'm reading a few of the stories that I never got around to reading in the Sweet Romance Anthology that published in 2020 (only available in paperback now). My short story, FRENCH TOAST WITH A SIDE OF LOVE, is in there. I'll be revisiting the story and its two characters in 2023 when I start a new series. Wow⏤2023. That seems like a long way off.
