Your prayers and good wishes worked!
As mentioned in my last newsletter, my husband had surgery last Tuesday for a large mass which we knew was cancerous. It was removed successfully during a six-hour surgery, and he spent four days in the hospital. There's no chemo or radiation plans as the tumor had clear margins and the doctors were able to take it all. He's now up and walking around, eating a somewhat regular diet, and we're all hopeful for his continued healing going forward.
Since he was released on Saturday, our three children and the grand girls visited Iowa City for Easter. It was an ideal day to celebrate!
Thank you to everyone who reached out to offer your prayers and good wishes before the surgery last week. I love hearing from you any day, but especially during a time when your encouraging words helped carry us through a very difficult time.
