I always keep an ongoing list of topics I’m going to include in upcoming newsletters. It's just a simple spreadsheet with links and jotted notes. When I found out the date for my knee surgery, I plugged that into the newsletter too.
Today is the big day! I've lived with this sometimes sharp/sometimes dull pain since July so I'm anxious to walk without a limp again sometime soon. Repairing a torn meniscus is a short, outpatient procedure, I'm told. Twenty minutes and I'll get to go home as soon as the anesthetic wears off. I've got a new comfy recliner in the family room to sink into while I elevate my leg for a few days. Brenda Novak's The Seaside Library will be waiting on the end table for me to start reading too. I'm set.
My note on the spreadsheet this week was supposed to read 'surgery good wishes' with a humble ask for prayers and good thoughts. But instead of typing 'surgery', I wrote 'sugary.' A subconscious slip? Probably, given my sweet tooth. So, if anyone is inclined to send 'sugary good wishes' as well, go right ahead. I’ll gladly take those too if you want to send cookies.

Last Chance to Order a Signed Paperback
I have an overstock of my paperbacks from book signings I attended this year. Please help me clear these away! All are priced less than you'll find online. I'll offer a book 50% off on a fourth title if three or more books are bought at the regular price of $10 each. Prices on the form includes shipping. The only books I don't have are the Blueberry Point novella collection and That Woman on Thistledown Lane.
Here's my form link to order: https://forms.gle/1iboVYcMXcPYs4f68. You'll pay through PayPal (you don't need a PayPal account to purchase and all major credit cards are accepted). It's first come-first served, and I'm sorry but I can't ship internationally at these prices unless you want to cover postage. If you have questions for me, just reply to this e-mail.
Of course the books will come personally signed to you or that special someone if you'd like, and with a Merry Christmas sticker from the new Port Chance series too!
HO HO HO! It's the Clean My Shelves Giveaway Special Holiday Edition! This month we're all about Christmas, of course! The bounty you see is part of the big haul I scored at a local book sale last month where so many paperbacks are only 50 cents each!
I’ll pick FIVE lucky winners this time from those who send me their choice by replying to this e-mail. Also, this time I'm asking you to send a first and second choice since there will be more winners. It might save me an e-mail or two if you win and your first choice was already awarded. Please take note: all of these are lovingly USED books. And so sorry, non-US friends, I can only ship within the country. If by chance I choose someone outside the U.S., I’ll offer a $5 Amazon gift card instead.
The choices are:
The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber
A Cedar Cove Christmas by Debbie Macomber
It Happened at Christmas by Debbie Mason
Alaska for Christmas by Jennifer Snow
Mistletoe Cottage by Debbie Mason
Christmas from the Heart by Sheila Roberts
Dashing Through the Snow by Debbie Macomber
Merry Christmas Cowboy by Maisey Yates
The White Christmas Inn by Colleen Wright
Mr. Miracle by Debbie Macomber
Winter Wishes by Fern Michaels
The contest closes this Sunday night 12/13/23, at 7 p.m. CST. Winners will be notified via e-mail on Monday and have 48 hours to respond. PLEASE check your e-mail on Monday! Winners will also be announced in the next
newsletter.

I have one sweet romance suggestion for you below. I have not read this particular one, but I've read other books by Catelyn Meadows and can definitely recommend her. There's a book by a new-to-me author on my nightstand this week. I'm almost finished with The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald. The title drew my attention right away. Have you read this one?

"I do love a good Christmas read and this was a wonderful one. Well written with a fantastic, heartwarming storyline, this is Allie and Bryce‘s story and it is fantastic.” - Goodreads Reviewer
