A few days ago, I was speaking with a friend and I thought to share this with you, .
Most times, the real thing limiting us isn’t money, time, or even resources.
It’s that we think we need something else before we can start.
For some people, it’s money.
For others, it’s gadgets.
For someone like me, it used to be time.
And when you say it out loud, it sounds valid:
“I don’t have money.”
“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t have resources.”
But here’s the thing:
When you get to that stage, what you’re really struggling with isn’t lack, it’s perfectionism.
And the truth is, you don’t need perfection.
What you need is excellence.
Excellence is making the best use of the resources already available to you.
Here’s a practical example:
A few days ago, the phone of someone close to me was stolen.
She’s a content creator, and at the time she was running a challenge online.
At first, it felt like the end. How would she keep up?
But then we looked around.
There was an old phone that we had to fix but its camera wasn’t great.
There was also someone nearby who had a better phone.
She reached out, explained her situation, and now borrows the phone once a week.
That’s what excellence looks like.
Not waiting for “perfect conditions,” but maximizing what’s within reach.
So let me ask you:
- Are you chasing perfection instead of excellence?
- Are you so focused on what you don’t have that you’re ignoring what you do have?
- Is there someone around you who has what you need, but you haven’t asked?
Think about it.
Excellence isn’t about having everything.
It’s about using everything you already have.
