“Am I doing enough?”
“Can I do better?”
“Am I lagging behind?”
, if you’ve ever asked yourself these questions, you’re not alone. Most young people wrestle with them almost every day.
We scroll through Instagram and see a celebrity, same age as us, buying a car, building a house, living the life.
And then there’s you. Maybe still in your parents’ house. Maybe sharing a room with a friend. Maybe hustling in silence.
Here’s the thing:
The issue isn’t that the celebrity bought a car.
The real question is: Am I doing better than I did yesterday?
- What can I do today to become 1% better than yesterday?
- Am I truly doing enough or am I just coasting?
- Am I being honest with myself?
Be real with yourself. Don’t self-deceive, even if the whole world does.
Because here’s the truth:
👉🏾 If you’re doing all you can, keep going. Don’t stop.
👉🏾 If you know you can do better, then stop making excuses, do better.
Social media will always be there. It can push you into unhealthy comparison, yes. But if you flip the lens, it can also inspire you to rise.
At the end of the day, it’s not about them. It’s about you.
So ask yourself again, am I doing enough?
