If you must feel pressure, let it be your own.

In this loud, fast world, choose your pressure wisely.

Hey ,

I’ve been thinking a lot about pressure lately.

The kind we put on ourselves and the kind the world tries to put on us.

Everywhere you turn these days, something or someone is trying to remind you that you’re behind:

👉 A post about someone hitting 6 figures at 23

👉 A friend buying a car

👉 A trend that makes you feel like you haven’t “arrived” yet

👉 A new challenge every week that says "this is what success looks like"

We’re constantly being pushed to move faster, look better, earn more, post more, be more.

And while growth is important…

not all pressure is necessary.

Here’s something I’ve learned:

You must choose your pressure.

The pressure to improve? Yes.

The pressure to stretch? Of course.

But the pressure to perform for people who don’t know your story or your season?

That one’s optional. Always.

Some pressure is good, it keeps us focused and accountable.

But the best kind of pressure is internal:

→ The kind that comes from your own desire to grow.

→ The kind that pushes you because you know you’re capable of more.

→ The kind that aligns with your values, not Instagram Feed.

If you want to push yourself, beautiful.

Just make sure it’s because you want to, not because Instagram told you to.

This week, I want you to pause and ask:

Is this pressure I’m feeling really mine?

Or is it borrowed?

Give yourself permission to grow but on your terms.

Always rooting for you,

Darasimi
