The worst kind of lie isn’t the one told to you.

It’s the one you tell yourself and I’ve had to confront a few lately.

Hey ,

Over the past few days, I’ve had to sit with myself a little more than usual.

Not the kind of “sit with yourself” where you’re scrolling or multitasking,

The type where you really ask, “What’s going on in here?”

I had to do some soul searching.

There were things I thought I had clarity on, decisions, emotions, goals.

But when I slowed down long enough to be honest with myself… I realized I wasn’t being 100% truthful.

And that’s where this message comes from.

Because one of the most dangerous things we can do to ourselves

is lie to ourselves.

Others might deceive you.

Society might pressure you.

But when you become the one sugarcoating your reality, that’s a dangerous trap.

We say we’re fine but we’re not.

We say we’ve moved on but we haven’t.

We say we know what we want but we’re afraid to admit what we really want.

And all of this?

It clouds our judgment.

It blocks our growth.

It keeps us stuck in cycles that look like progress but is simply survival.

I’ve come to realize:

You can only rise to the degree that you are aware of yourself.

Not just what you like or what you do but why you do it.

What drives you.

What scares you.

What patterns keep repeating in your life.

That’s self-awareness.

And no, it’s not selfish.

It’s not dramatic.

It’s not overthinking.

It’s necessary.

Here’s my encouragement to you this week:

📌 Tell yourself the truth.

📌 Don’t rush to fix or figure it all out. Just start with honesty.

📌 Self-awareness is the foundation of transformation.

If you want to truly thrive, you have to stop performing and start paying attention to you.

It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always worth it.

With honesty,

Darasimi
