If wealth had no Instagram, would you still want it?

We’re spending money we don’t have to impress people we don’t know. Let’s fix that.

Hey ,

It’s been a while, a little over a month, actually. 😅

And no, this isn’t one of those “I’m back” messages.

I just want to be honest.

Work has been… a lot.

I recently started working with an international AI company and let’s just say, the workload didn’t come to play. Between strategy meetings, execution, and trying to stay sane, I didn't write to you. And I hate that.

But I’m learning to balance better.

And I promise, I’ll show up more. Not perfectly. But truly.

Now, let’s talk about something that’s been on my heart lately:

The Illusion of Wealth.

This generation is under pressure to look rich, not be rich.

We see the soft life.

We want the aesthetics.

And somehow, wealth has become more about perception than reality.

But here’s what I’m learning:

Wealth isn’t about being loud.

It’s not the rented apartment in Lekki with no bedframe.

It’s not the designer bag with zero savings.

It’s not the “tech bro” selfie while leaving from hand to mouth.

It’s not making money today and spending it before tomorrow.

True wealth is mostly quiet.

It’s freedom.

It’s options.

It’s peace.

It’s sleeping at night knowing you’re not pretending.

Some people are wealthy but don’t look it.

Some people look wealthy but are barely surviving.

Please don’t get caught up in the illusion.

Build real wealth. Not just the vibe of it

Food for thought:

If nobody could see what you own, no IG, no LinkedIn, no updates, would you still feel rich?
