Hey ,
Let’s be honest, a lot of us have already said it this week:
“I’ll start next year.”
“From January, I’ll be serious.”
“Next year, I’ll be more consistent.”
But here’s the thing… next year is not some magical moment.
It’s just another day.
Another sunrise.
Another date on a man-made calendar.
Nothing truly changes just because the clock strikes 12:00am on January 1st.
The only thing that changes life is action.
And action doesn’t have a calendar.
A few years ago, I remember saying, “Next year, I’ll start building that idea.”
Next year came and guess what?
Nothing happened.
Not because I wasn’t capable.
But because I was waiting for a date.
When I finally started, it wasn’t the start of a new year.
It was the start of a new mindset.
And that’s what I want for you today.
Don’t pause your life waiting for January.
Don’t tell yourself you’ll “get serious” when the new year begins.
If it matters, start building it now.
Apply for that job.
Pitch that client.
Start saving.
Start learning.
Start becoming.
Because when you truly think about it, “next year” is just a comfortable excuse that sounds responsible.
But it’s still procrastination, dressed in good intention.
So here’s my challenge to you as we begin The Final Sixty:
Do one thing today that your “next year self” will thank you for.
Start small, but start anyway.
The world doesn’t pause for a calendar.
Neither should you.
Tell me one thing you’ve been postponing till next year and what you’re going to start doing now.
Let’s make these last 60 days count.
With growth,
Darasimi.
