Hey ,
Exactly a week ago, I had a strategy meeting with my closest friends and my babe.
There were four of us, two guys, two ladies.
We weren’t there to gist or chill.
We were there to talk strategy, our plans for November and December.
We talked about our goals, our challenges, and our next steps.
We listened. We gave feedback. We even prayed together.
By the time we were done, everyone left that meeting with clarity.
We knew what to focus on.
We knew what to stop doing.
And most importantly, we knew how to hold each other accountable.
Here’s what that moment taught me:
You don’t need a crowd, you just need the right circle.
People who can tell you the truth when you’re missing it.
People who won’t just hype you, but help you.
People who make you think bigger, not smaller.
I remember sharing a business idea with my closest friend Opeoluwa and while others had given me feedback, his response was different.
He expanded my thinking.
He stretched the vision.
And that conversation alone gave me more perspective than weeks of overthinking ever could.
We live in a time where people say, “Keep your plans to yourself.”
And yes, that’s true, you shouldn’t broadcast your plans to the world.
But you also shouldn’t live in isolation.
There’s wisdom in Scripture that says,
“In the multitude of counsel, there is safety.”
You need people you can share ideas with, not people who will compete, but people who will contribute.
Not people who will mock, but people who will mold your thinking.
You need strong people around you.
And I’m not talking about rich friends or “influential” friends.
I’m talking about people who share your values, who believe in your dreams, who hold you accountable.
Why try to break into someone else’s “rich circle” when you and your friends can build one together?
Why not sit down this week and say, “Hey, let’s plan. Let’s map out our growth. Let’s challenge each other”?
You might already have these people around you, you’ve just never been intentional.
The power is not in meeting people.
The power is in meeting intentionally.
So here’s your reminder this week:
Build your circle.
Have that conversation.
Call that friend.
Plan together. Pray together. Grow together.
Because growth is faster when done in community.
Here’s to finishing strong together. 💪🏽
