Don’t Forget the Ones Who Show Up for You

The real ones deserve to be seen

Hi ,

Every now and then, something simple resets your perspective.

A few days ago, I watched a video by Asherkine where he said something that stayed with me:

“The real ones are those who are there in the good times and the bad times. They’re the ones who show up for you every step of the way.”

It made sense in a very real way.

We meet many people in life, classmates, colleagues, acquaintances, online friends, industry connections. But the real ones? They are rare. They are the people who don’t disappear when life gets messy. They don’t switch off when things are tough. They’re not only loud when things are good.

They are steady.

They are present.

They are consistent.

And here’s the truth:

You need people like that in your life.

Not perfect people.

Just people who are real.

It can be your siblings.

It can be your parents.

It can be your closest friends.

It can even be someone you didn’t expect, someone who simply shows up again and again.

Today, take a moment to celebrate the real ones.

Not by posting them online.

Not by doing something dramatic.

Just a call.

A text.

A simple “thank you for being here.”

People need to know that they matter to you.

Even if they already know, they still need to hear it.

They still need to be reminded that you see them, value them, and appreciate their presence in your life.

It doesn’t take much, but it goes a long way.

Your Fave,

Darasimi
