Hey ,
One of the things I have come to realize is that many people live life reacting instead of preparing. We wait for things to happen before we start thinking. We wait for emergencies before we save. We wait for opportunities before we start learning. We wait until things fall apart before we start planning.
That approach is dangerous.
I understand that as believers, we are taught not to worry about tomorrow. Scripture says not to be anxious about tomorrow. But that is very different from refusing to prepare for tomorrow. There is a difference between fear and wisdom. Planning is wisdom.
If you know there are major steps you want to take this year, why are you not preparing for them already?
If you know you want to relocate, why are you not saving towards it?
If you know you want to start a business, why are you not learning the skills and gathering the resources now?
If you know you want to get married, why are you not becoming financially and emotionally responsible now?
If you know there are responsibilities ahead of you, why are you living as though tomorrow does not exist?
One of the lessons chess taught me while growing up is the importance of thinking ahead. In chess, you do not just focus on the move in front of you. You are constantly asking yourself:
“If I make this move, what is likely to happen next?”
You anticipate. You prepare. You think ahead.
Life works the same way.
A lot of young people today are living without structure or preparation. There is no plan. No savings. No direction. Just vibes, hope, and survival mode. That is not wisdom.
And please, especially for believers, faith does not cancel planning.
Budgeting does not mean you lack faith.
Saving money does not mean you do not trust God.
Preparing for difficult seasons does not mean you are negative.
It means you are wise.
Many people have been earning salaries for years and still have nothing saved. Then one delay in salary happens and everything collapses. One emergency happens and they are stranded. One unexpected situation happens and there is no structure to survive it.
This is why planning matters.
Life is unpredictable. We know this already. Scripture never promised that every season would be easy. Challenges happen. Delays happen. Unexpected situations happen. Wisdom is preparing yourself as much as possible for those moments.
Think ahead.
Plan ahead.
Prepare ahead.
The future you desire will require preparation from the present version of you.
Stop living every day without intention.
Your life deserves structure.
Have a productive week ahead.
Your Fave,
Darasimi
