Hey ,
Over time, I’ve realized that many of the biggest mistakes people make in life come from rushed decisions.
Career decisions.
Relationship decisions.
Business decisions.
Life decisions.
So I developed a small framework for myself. Whenever I’m about to make a major decision, I ask myself three questions.
Today I want to share the first one.
Question 1: Does this move align with the person I am trying to become?
This question sounds simple, but it is very powerful.
Many opportunities are not wrong.
They are just wrong for the direction you are going.
Not everything that looks good is good for you.
A job may pay well, but it may not move you toward the future you want.
A relationship may feel exciting, but it may not align with the values you want to live by.
An opportunity may look impressive, but it may distract you from the bigger picture of your life.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is choosing based only on the present moment.
Money today.
Comfort today.
Excitement today.
But good decisions are rarely made for today alone. They are made with the future in mind.
The real question is not:
“Is this opportunity good?”
The real question is:
“Does this move take me closer to the life I want to build?”
Every decision either moves you forward or quietly pulls you away from your long-term direction.
Alignment matters.
Because when your decisions align with the person you are trying to become, life becomes clearer.
You may not always choose the easiest option.
But you will often choose the right one.
Tomorrow, I’ll share the second question I ask before making big decisions.
Your Fave,
Darasimi.
