Not only did you grab that book, you downloaded the other books in the Trinket Bay K9 Mystery series, too. It means the world to me that my stories have found a home in your reading life. 💛

I took a break from the office to enjoy a day trip with wonderful company at a beautiful place called Core Cider, which is in the Perth Hills at a place called Pickering Brook. Along with the fabulous company, we splurged on a fantastic à la carte lunch, and I had to taste all the ciders, because that's the done thing, right? They were all so good, but my favourites were the pear and the mixed berry. (On the ends.)
Before we left the restaurant, I spotted a book for sale on the shelf. Turns out their sweets apprentice (and yes, dessert was to die for, too) is also a budding author, so I had to grab a book to take home, too.
After lunch, we wandered downstairs, grabbed another drink at the downstairs bar, where they offer made-to-order pizzas and listened to some live entertainment. It was a wonderful day out and if you're in the area, I highly recommend you visit.
Moving on from apples, our mandarin tree had its first crop. Yes, I kept the birds away this time. Not only have we been eating the fruit au natural, and shared some with the neighbours, I've made mandarin cupcakes and tried my hand at mandarin marmalade. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough pectin despite my adding some lemon into the mix, so instead I have jars of mandarin marinade for savory dishes and mandarin sauce for pouring over ice cream. I may have taken some straight from the jar, too. :)
For now, though, it's back to work. Apparently, these books don't write themselves.
