Upcoming 2023 BMW X1 Spotted Out Testing

A new prototype was recently spotted, wearing heavy camouflage, and it seems to be wearing familiar design cues. As you can see in the photos, the U11 X1 seems to sport rather big and upright grilles up front, definitely bigger than the ones used on the current version. The headlamps seem to retain a familiar shape while the wheels point to a potential performance model, looking very close to what you'd find on the current X2 M35i model.

The BMW M135i xDrive might be the hottest 1 Series on sale today, but the M Performance model is somewhat controversial due to its front-wheel drive architecture. As you can see in the video below, the Germans are currently testing a heavily camouflaged 1 Series that might just be an M140i.

Judging by the spy photos, the car will stays mostly the same except for the headlights, which are now mounted lower and no longer appear integrated in the radiator grille. The rear end sports some camo as well, but major changes probably won't happen there.

The piece of footage below, which comes from the Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel. We see the X3 M Competition duke it out with a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 392 Shaker and its 495-hp, 475-lb-ft N/A 6.4L HEMI. However, this is an index race, which relies more on the drivers' abilities than the might of their vehicles.

BMW's Best-Seller Gets Better

BMW's best-selling car, by quite a big margin, is the X3. It actually makes good sense; the BMW X3 is barely more money than the 3 Series and yet it's bigger, more practical, and more comfortable. The new X3 also gets new headlights, which are slimmer than before and feature new lighting elements, including BMW's optional laser lights. Rounding out the petrol engines, is the top-of-the-line BMW X3 M40i, which gets a 3.0 liter turbocharged I6 with 360 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

The New BMW X3 M Competition And The New BMW X4 M Competition.

In addition to new design features drawn from the BMW X3 and BMW X4, which have likewise been revised, along with M specific changes and a new operating concept, the new BMW X3 M Competition and the new BMW X4 M Competition also offer increased pulling power. The in-line 6-cylinder engine in the BMW X3 M Competition and BMW X4 M Competition now features the forged lightweight crankshaft of the BMW M3 and M4 models.

2022 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe Revealed

BMW has dropped the veil on the second-gen 2022 4 Series Gran Coupe. The 4 Series Gran Coupe's cabin features the same iDrive system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and it also gets the same 12.3-inch digital driver's display in higher-spec models. The layout of the cabin is still very driver-focussed as you'd expect in a BMW. At its global launch, the 4 Series Gran Coupe will be available in four engine trims - 420i, 420d, 430i and M440i xDrive.

BMW announced the 2022 X4 has been updated alongside its fraternal twin, the X3 with which it shares most of its DNA. Although the two models are similar in their underpinnings, performance and technology features, the X4 is the sportier sibling thanks to its coupelike exterior that sits lower and wider than the X3. For 2022, the BMW X4 gets refreshed styling, tech improvements, a mild-hybrid system for the M40i model and an enhanced performance-focused M model.

German tuning shop MANHART promises an equivalent power output in their new project. The MANHART MH3 600 is based on the new G80 M3 delivering 635 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque. With this upgrade, the MANHART MH3 600 sprints to 200 km/h in less than 10.5 seconds and also reaches the 250 km/h mark after just under 17 seconds.
